It was a new recipe that when followed to the letter was rather boring. The spices you see are how I doctored it up. It will be made again, with more changes, I'm sure. It called for orzo, which I love, but it doesn't reheat well. I think in the future; the orzo will not be added to the big pot and will be cooked in smaller portions to add as desired. The recipe came from someone who was making it for a large family. I'm just a family of three. Me, myself, and I.
Leftovers are good. Leftovers with croutons are even better.
ReplyDeleteI 1000% agree! Croutons and/or cheese (which I also had on hand!)
DeleteMmmm, if it tasted like it looks.
ReplyDeleteKeep yourself warm, Cindi.

DeleteThe peace of the night to you three. ;-)

DeleteOh, yum! It's better later, too, after the flavors blend more.
