a wet friday morning...

  I finally got my car moved out of the snow!  The rain overnight and for most of the day has helped considerably to melt some of the ice and snow.

  My quince bush has tiny buds on it, so I'm hopeful that the below freezing temperatures we've had for most of the month has not damaged the bush.

  The blossoms look like they will be beautiful (according to Bing anyway).   

  There was some fruit on it last fall that I did not have the courage to try.  Probably a good thing because Bing also said that it was hard and sour, but it became sweet and fragrant when cooked.  I had some Bonne Mamam jelly from an Advent calendar that had quince in it, and it was very good.

    Dein Schaukelstuhl bleibt also auch im Winter auf der Veranda stehen? ;-)

      Ja, an manchen Morgen, wenn es nicht so kalt ist wie den Großteil des Monats, sitze ich immer noch gerne draußen, trinke meinen Kaffee und schaue mir den Sonnenaufgang an. Ich höre gern den Vögeln zu.

      Ich würde gerne ein Foto davon machen, wie Du Dir den Sonnenaufgang anschaust und den Vögeln lauschst. But as an night owl I seldom do mornings. ;-)))

      ;-) I am not often up early. My current work shift has me getting off at 8p, then it takes me a few hours to wind down and stop thinking about work. This morning, I was up early for a contractor to give me an estimate on some improvements. He was 30min late and just interested in scaring me that das Haus würde bis in den Keller einstürzen so I would panic and spend the most money possible. So, he will not get my business even if I did believe him. Ich muss sehen, ob ich in Zukunft ein Foto unterbringen kann, um es zu teilen.

    Glad you got your car out! Please forgive me for not checking in - I've been furious and frustrated with the current dumpster fire going on. I've been sharing my thoughts cause I feel I have to. Anywho, you're the smarter one...hope all is well.
